Distinguished Scientist Award

The SSCP Distinguished Scientist Award is given each year to an individual (who need not be an SSCP member) who has made an extremely important career contribution to the science of clinical psychology. A list of previous award winners appears here.

The award winner will be invited to present a talk at the APS (or possibly APA) annual meeting and will receive a $1,000 honorarium.

Nominating individuals for this award is easy, and we strongly encourage you to do so. Members of all underrepresented and minority groups are encouraged to apply.

E-mail us with the individual's name, CV, and a brief (no more than 1 page) description of why you believe she or he is deserving of the award. Specifically, it will be most helpful if you can describe the individual's accomplishments that are most relevant to the contribution to the science of clinical psychology. Self-nominations are welcome. Please e-mail these nominations to the current SSCP President. Members of the SSCP board will review applications and select the award recipient. The deadline for the award nomination is October 31.
